המשטרה פתחה בחקירה לפני זמן קצר, עם קבלת דיווח במוקד 100 בדבר אירוע ירי בכפר ירכא.
עפ"י גורמי רפואה, מהמקום פונה תושב ירכא באורח אנוש אל המרכז הרפואי הגליל המערבי בנהריה תוך ביצוע פעולות החייאה.
